Our Story

Welcome to The Pinestraw Guys. I created this company as a side project while working as a Branch Manager for a landscape company in Bluffton, SC.

When i first created this website, I had no pinestraw, vendors, trailers, or a network of customers. What I did have was a tremendous amount of landscape knowledge, great sales skills, and a strong desire to solve a huge problem in this industry. 

Our website was our minimal viable product. When we sold pinestraw on our site, we would buy our straw in bulk from local sources in order to get a discount. I rented U-Haul trailers and trucks to fulfil deliveries. I paid friends to install orders that I could do because I was working full time.
