The Morgan tract is named after the Morgan family and the gentleman that planted this stand 20 years ago. The family used to bale hay from this acreage for cows. Mr. Morgan's father had a plan of planting longleaf, and the rest is history. This will be the first tract 100 percent management and harvested by The Pinestraw Guys. Shout out to my father, Paul Byrd, for his investment and believing in this plan.

The longleaf pinestraw that is removed from this site will be ecologically harvested. All pinestraw will be hand raked and either baled or bagged (new baling system) at 10 lbs. per bale. The longleaf will be harvested when it's at the best color and stored for clients that have reserved orders. Our intention is to work with foresters to implement a management plan that places the best interest of the trees first.

We are anticipating 10,000 bales off of this track. 5000 in the spring and 5000 in fall. Our first rake will occur mid November. This longleaf will be sold by a first come, first serve reservation process. Our existing client base will be contacted about the opportunity to reserve bales. If you are interested in reserving your pinestraw from this stand, please contact us.
We are looking to secure an additional 75 acres of longleaf pine stands withing a two drive of Bluffton, SC. We are not wholesalers. All of our pinestraw is sold through our company to our residential clients.
